Alabama is making the move to the AmCommm DMR network. This includes the weekly net on Sunday.
Update 1/13/2025: Due to popular demand, we have added AmComm 31011 Alabama Hotspot. If you are a hotspot user please use 31011. All AmComm Servers talk to each other, and this is a way to load balance users in Alabama.
A message from Doug:
My name is Doug Gooden, W4DBG, I am with the group that manages the Alabama Link and America Link. If I have accidentally emailed you about this more than once, I apologize.
I wanted to let you know that those two groups are not available on Brandmeister. While those TG numbers, 31010 and 31656 will still work on Brandmeister but they are no longer connected to the rest of the system.
If you have questions about that I would be glad to answer them.
What I wanted to let you know is that we have started a new Master server here in Alabama. It is part of the Amcomm network and the Alabama server is 3101. More information about Amcomm can be found at http://www.amcomm.network
You can find Alabama Link, America Link and many more on this system.
There are many Amcomm servers across the globe but we invite you to connect to 3101.
If you use Pi-Star or an OpenSpot the servers are readily available to use. Repeaters can easily connect too.
The videos with links below show how to connect and use the self service and to setup static talk groups with an OpenSpot or a Pi-Star device with no registration involved.
Pi-Star: Amcomm DMR Network Connection – Pi-Star (youtube.com)
OpenSpot: Amcomm DMR with Open Spot (youtube.com)
You can view the Dashboard of Master Server 3101 at AmComm DMR 3101.amcomm.network
I would appreciate your help in growing this. I really want to grow the infrastructure and hobby.
Again,
I am glad to help in any way I can, just let me know.
Doug W4DBG
